I love the bit with your conversation with Austin about where this would fit in a legitimate historical like a chronology, the age of the heroes kind of thing. He's drawing on all those sorts of things. But I think there's also a bit of a modernist critique going on with that as well. And if we're one of the things I loved about Austin's book, he takes him seriously.
