The Pluralistic Ignorance
The author says we expect others to act much more selfishly than we expect er ourselves to do. This leads to this, like, interesting phenomenon called a pluralistic ignorance. And so there are lots of situation in which pasically we practise pluralistic ignorance - and it's bad for social norms.
