The Red Flags of Mervin the Bastard
Sir Mervin was regarded by most a dutiful, if not especially heroic, member of the Kingsguard. Like many bastards, he was quick to anger and saw slights where none had been intended. Even just being half-brother to Lord Unwin Peek is a huge red flag of its own. He almost certainly did sleep with some highborn ladies that might come out and fire blood too if he had bastards with them.
