The Son of Man Comes to See and to Save the Lost
New Testament scholar robert caris writes, in luke's gospel, jesus is either going to a meal, at a meal, or coming from a meal. The son of man came eating and drinking. That was how he did it. Jesus lived in a culture where a lot of people were hostile, at arm's length toward him and his way into the kingdom. How did JESUS walk people like that into the kingdom? One meal at a time. He said: "All you have to do is unlock the door of your heart and let god in"
