Brian May's Guitar Tax Job
May would take weeks to craft solos and overdubbed parts for Queen songs on the red special. A huge part of their sound is the fact that his guitar parts are multiple tracks of distorted single note lines arranged into chords. May also played tremendously light strings, which he originally used banjo strings before he could find a set of electric guitar strings that were light and tiny enough.
