The Consequences of the Dissolution of the Monasteries
The act of suppression 1536 dissolved all houses under 200 pounds. Health care, social care disappeared more or less overnight. Wealth just didn't have the central role that they had perhaps 2-300 years earlier. It's a huge transfer of wealth as you said the largest in some normal conquest.
