The Definition of Baking

Baking is the act of converting a loose mass of usually flour based food into a solid. This definition does not exclude meringues and no bake cookies, but it does not favor them either. Noodles and dumplings could fit under my definition, but they would fit more comfortably under some other words definition. But that's why we say usually in a definition, there are exceptions to the rules.
