Physicists have mathematics envy, because we cannot prove the boundaries of what we do or do not know. I never go out and prove things. It's not what i do. We just disprove things. And so in reality, streng theory and inflation are sort of dominant for almost forty yearsand to the exclusion of almost any other paradime. So should it be surprising that we find ourselves in a situation where these are touted as proven? But funding, sure is, there's only so much funding. There's a zero sum funding.
