Do You Really Need Hugely Higher Than Market Returns?

i just love research, and i love dartar and i love am making choices based off numbers. And the good thing is, like with index investing, you're going to get market returns anyway. Do we really need hugely higher than market returns? Is it worth the risk? My version of m super is called ke we savour. It's not an actively managed fund, but that's because i'm under a certain amount of money.
