The Grand Rapids School District Bans Backpacks
The Grand Rapids school district has banned backpacks because they've been monitoring an increase in threats. So far this year, in just that school district, this is now the fourth gun they've confiscated. And so that I think is part of what made them say, okay, until we figure out what's going on, we're just going to ban backpacks altogether. Because again, sounds extreme and honestly sounds kind of crazy to a lot of people looking from the outside in but it truly I think is coming from a place of desperation.
