The Third Circuit Court of Appeals Weighs in on the Second Amendment

The Third Circuit Court of Appeals has weighed in on one of the most interesting and challenging questions in Second Amendment law. The issue is whether federal law that categorically and permanently dispossesses convicted felons or more precisely anybody who's been convicted of a crime for which the punishment could be more than one year. A man in Pennsylvania was convicted of state welfare fraud in 1995 because he and his wife applied for food stamps to support their three children. He got a felony conviction and applied for permission to own a gun.
