The Importance of Submitting Early

If you feel that strongly about your film yeah but submitting early is always the best if you can. Some of those big festivals are premier only so if you've already had a north american premiere you can't circle back and try to get back into one of those major festivals. Shutter has approached distributors before the festival run or for whatever reason on some of my earlier films we didn't do the festival run  and then it's reaching out to distributors directly. The minimum guarantee you could potentially get was going to be much smaller than if it played at any festival probably.
