i wouldn't have done it any other way, frankly, even if i saw myself heading toward a successful career in writing before i went full time. Building and maintaining a good relationship with my illustrators and my editors has been fantastic. And reinvesting so that they had better covers and a full edit is the best money i've ever put into anything. I'm definitely no regrets on staying debt free.
