The Myopia of the Chinese Bureaucracy

The disconnect between China's perception of reality and the reality of American power is one of the five dumbest things I've seen in the last 20 years. They may have may have be so sunk into their propaganda they think that not only this is a winnable war, but one that the rest of the world would just sign off on. The more people I talk to are in the space both on both sides of the Pacific, the myopia, the deliberate ignorance within the Chinese bureaucracy really has become breathtaking. But it still might happen. It would mean the end of not just the American Chinese relationship, but of China as an entity.
