The Importance of Good Contacts in Magnetism
When you put too much current into a wire you make it hot and when these other fellows use too many windings of wire in their magnet field they throttle the lines. This is Edison talking about how he thought the overheating of his competitors dynamos was not just bad it was because of the complete inefficiency of their bad designs. "I believe you can saturate a piece of iron so that you can't force another line onto it" - Edison.
