In genesis 35 19, we read that rachel died. She was buried on the way to eprat, that is beth Bethlehem. And jacob set up a pillar over her tomb which is there to this day. Israel journeyed on and pitched his tent beyond the tower of edder. Is in hebrew, migdel edders, proper place name. So it shouldn't be translated as the tower ofEdder. It should be migdel edder, which is precisely what we saw in the in the misna. That's an important detail.
