Water Quality Is Back to Safe Levels
CNN's John Sutter says mainstream media, government and railroad companies are obscuring the full toll of the crisis. They warned without any evidence that vital water reservoirs serving states downriver could be badly contaminated. Since then, the EPA has said air quality is returned to safe levels. Residents have been allowed to return. A chemical order lingers because people can smell the contaminants even when they are far below hazardous concentrations.
