Little of the variance in human longevity is driven by the age of your parents. If you've got a parent or a sibling who makes it to 100, you've got about a ten times greater chance than some one in the rest of the population are doing the same. We often talk about people dying of old age. But i think this is a bit of a myth that's been a perpetuated cause for many, many years.
