The Importance of Spirituality in Social Work
Social workers often palm spirituality off to pastoral care and local chaplains. I think it's really to the detriment of people like this, that we don't embrace it more. One social worker would wear a large crucifix and get told repeatedly to tuck it into a shirt. She was not only inappropriate in herself as a person, but she was misrepresenting the profession.
