What Is the Current State of Evidence in Education?
Natalia: I would love to just read a quote from your report, Understanding Evidence. It says, the discrepancy between the rhetoric of EdTech's potential for positive learning and the scientific evidence showing the opposite has led to a divided public discourse. Some uncritically promote EdTech as a force for educational change while others universally perceive it as a threat to analog and in-person teaching. Natalia: That tension play out because the research community obviously wants what's best for students but so does the EdTech community that polarized nature puts them at odds with each other.
