Introduction
Over 4 million Ukrainians have fled their homes, many coming to the European Union. The EU opened its doors to millions of Ukrainians, providing a legal path for them to live, work and go to school. All people who are fleeing war will be granted protection from and access to the EU health, education, labor and residence regardless of nationality or skin color. It's one of the many examples of how Europe has changed as a result of Putin's full-fledged invasion of Ukraine.
