The Lack of Standing Arguments in the Case of MIFA-Prist Down
The standing issue is a pretty powerful legal argument. It means that just because I don't like a law in California as a resident of New York, I don't have the right to go into court to fight some housing regulation. And here, the government lawyers and the company lawyers were arguing about the lack of standing on the part of the anti-abortion doctors. If this was anything other than a case about abortion, I continue to believe it would have been tossed on standing from the start.
