The Purpose of Zechariah

I was thinking that some might push back against this a little bit, saying, if we're so concerned with the scope of the whole or with the analogy of faith, we might lose sight of the individual texts themselves. Have you ever heard that kind of push back to this emphasis upon reading the Scriptures? No, I honestly haven't. It wouldn't surprise me if someone says that. My response would be, well, that's a point well taken. We have to be careful of that. But our good friend Jason Walter once said in his preaching, when you read something in the Bible, there's a reason that it's there. You need to work to understand why this detail or
