The Importance of Hard Things in Pre-Agricultural Society

Men are expendable, right? It only takes one man to repopulate the earth. Just because you have a Y chromosome doesn't mean you're useful. Genetically, women are always useful because they have a womb and wombs are valuable and scarce. But as a man, if you're not contributing by doing the hard things that testosterone is for, you're kind of useless. In pre-agricultural society, males had to exhibit strength in order to survive or in order to pass on their genes. 21st century man doesn't have these necessities,. at least in the first world, right?
