It's funny to think about Pharisees in a like a literal way, because you say the word and I instantly think of it as a derogatory term. Right. And we should probably do some stuff on that because this is another great example of what Amy Joel, Levine and Matthew T. Sin and Jen Rosen all talked about: how often we try to prop up Christianity by denigrating Judaism. The Pharisees were not bad. That's that that's what makes Jesus critique of them so shocking. Is that they were in terms of how Jesus would have been seen, in terms of his social status,. They were the closest group to to how he would have identified himself.
