The Override Clause and the Government's Response to the Backlash

The government is listening to the protesters' complaints. They're complaint is that the undemocratic or anti-democratic, if democratic democracy involves direct voter to policy and leadership systems. The problem is they don't like the democratic outcome of the election. And therefore, because of the Israeli system, the Knesset votes and the bill is passed.
