i didn't see any one reflected back to me who looked like me when i stied in this work five years ago. I questioned all the time, am i allowed to be here? When iave realized that my great grandmather did this work, and she was, you know, a doeler and hela - it's our ancestry. So none of this work can be a trend, because it's from our blood and our lineage. It's really hard now feeling like, well, why we're not seeing as many indian practitioners doing or evaded practice and so on. The book is beautifully broken down into sections: culture appropriation, how these practices are used
