AI Alignment and Scaling

I don't think like slowing down one in order to figure out the other, I think you can just do it simultaneously. If there are more incentives for AI researchers to work on alignment, various type of academic and or industrial then they will work on it. So instead of trying like scaling conferences, we could throw robustness conferences where we try to make sure systems are more robust. Right, so there is a race happening, and we can make progress in other things.
