How Do You Know When You Screwed It Up?

When an analyst puts a stock on our approved list, it comes with a buy target and a sell target. We're looking at results at least quarterly as well as any other updates we can get from management. A year in, we will monitor how has the expected value changed relative to the analyst expectation. If that number starts to deviate by a level we deemed to be significant, I would say call it 10%. To us, that triggers a much higher level of maintenance focus than what a company is basically churning along and doing about as we expected.
