This is a very, very weird, unusual year. The S&P has been down 20% or more 15 times since 1926 that it's been down three quarters of the time. So one of the things about financial television is that wealthy people are watching it and wealthier people tend to be older. But there's a secondary audience and it's coming of age now. It's the people who opened their first Robin Hood account two years ago or got their first 401K at Fidelity in new job. For that audience, nothing could be better than a down week, a down month in stocks.
