Theophilin and Caffeine: The Next Step in Preterm Kidney Care
Theophilin has been studied in several randomized controlled studies. caffeine is one that we use a lot in preterm babies for other reasons, right? We use it to help them remember to breathe. There are centers that use theophilin in the setting of severe perinatal asphyxia to try and prevent an episode of AKI.
