Is It a Good Idea to Slow Down the Progress of the Virus?

The virus doesn't seem to affect children very much. They've got really good immune systems. As you get older, your immune system gets weaker. And the kids are therefore kind of carriers. If this goes on for months, you close the schools and they might be off school for months. So will that do the job? Will it somehow help to contain it or would it not? The scientific advisors here in the UK are saying it might do more harm than good.
