The Case of Anthony Porter

Anthony Porter was sentenced to death for the double murder of Marilyn Green and Jerry Hillard. In 2000 after having served 16 years wrongfully in prison Porter is given a certificate of innocence by a judge and receives a hundred and forty five thousand dollars in restitution. But Porter spends it quickly, eventually he's arrested for assaulting his mother and daughter. He ends up filing a lawsuit against the city of Chicago and the trial is set for 2005. Al Story Simons petitions the court basically saying that he was coerced and tricked into confessing by that team.
