How to Raise Venice Above Sea Level With Underground Wells
The mozo system was kind of, that's kind of the idea of that is to build a wall around Venice. It's just the wall isn't high enough. They're talking about using these underground wells to pump water into which effectively raises the city above sea level by 30 to 50 centimeters. That would then bring the mozo system into better use. The problem is it's not bobbing higher, but it's a bobbing system to work. And I think I imagine because it was costing so much money and taking so much time and being so inefficient that they stuck with it.
