This fossil is from a creature sochylanthropous, that lived between six and seven million years ago. It's right around the time that our branch of evolution diverged from the stors of chimps. And one of the reasons why it's so important to try to figure out when we branched off from chimpanzees is that chimps and gerillas are not actually bipeetle. They can get up on two legs, but it's not a very efficient form of locomotion for them.
