The Role of Alpha Oscillations in Cognitive Activity

The field has agreed on calling brain activity that is rhythmic and cycles in an disorderly fashion between, say, eight cycles per second to about maybe 12, 13 cycles per second. So by all, by all accounts, I think everybody would agree that alpha activity is oscillatory.
