I think that it's similar to when we saw the lawsuits like blurred lines about the groove of music. You can't even make music that's recognizably in a genre without permission from one of the labels. And that permission is going to be conditioned on you accepting a very bad one. So in that regard, platform operators have to make money for their networks that they build. If they have to give content creators all the money, what incentive do they have to do it in the first place besides controlling them?
