Are the Wind Tropical Cyclones Getting Worse?
The storm is going to linger over southeastern Mozambique and then in southeastern Zimbabwe for a period of about 48 hours. During that period, it's expected to dump hundreds of millimeters of rain. The evidence is telling us that in the Southwest Indian Ocean, we are seeing an increase in the number of Category 4 and 5 hurricanes. So yes, I think there's grave concern in the Southern African region that we may experience a Category 5 Arctic reaching Madagascar or reaching Mozambique.
