Etherium is now more possible for people to a stake individually and stake in a more globally distributed way. Lido, which has about 30 % of the network, is actually made up of 29 independent operators staking,. you know, on their own, loosely coordinated by lido. If we don't like the way they're behaving on the network, for example, if they are censoring transactions wih we feel should not be censored, then we can take action. We can collectively agree to fork them off the network, a social slashing, as it were. So getting kicked out of the protocol for breaking the rules is perfectly reasonable.
