The Changes in the Newspaper Industry

The New York Times is looking to save money on their costs by moving from the unionized sports employees that they currently have to the non-unionized athletic staff. The Los Angeles Times is making those changes in part because they're printing press now has a 3 p.m. deadline the day before for the next day's newspaper. They don't think they need those elements in the sports section anymore.
