Thebes - The Biggest of the Athenians?

Thebes is the smallest of the main play it's probably only 35, forty thousand people as residents. It's landlocked and has this mystical mythology that goes way back in the dark ages. But unfortunately for thebes, most of them were play acted. These myths were recomodulated by esclsophocles, euripides and maybe 50 other playwrights whose names we have.
