Darryl Sutter: Bud was really the most critical part of the process because his role was to insulate. When I first started in my hometown, the idea of charging someone for their time was taboo. So what Bud did initially was he gave me an insulated, almost bubble to growing. He protected me from a lot of that early on. And it allowed me to grow and he became a sounding board That's something that we talk a lot about on this podcast is mentorship.
