In the pre modern world, people beat each other up, including men on women. So we knew the power differential, so to speak, in a very visceral way and nobody could challenge it. If you talk to any fighter, including professional female fighters, and you describe that situation, they would laugh in your face because the power of an average can be just one on one. Our society is also diminished. I think, you know, which is good, arguably our society has diminished the ubiquity of violence.
