Bearing Witness to the Suffering in Eurasia
Bearing witness involves deliberately exposing yourself to suffering in some way. The practice can take many forms, including silent reflection and thoughtful reading of the news. You'll need to balance bearing witness with taking care of your life and responsibilities. Don't worry about what kind of emotional response you should or should not be having. Letting yourself feel ampathy and compassion requires effort and energy and attention.
