Padrinu was given the nickname the Punisher after the Marvel Comics vigilante character who employed lethal methods in his campaign against crime. Padrinu knew he would likely remain in prison for the rest of his life, but felt he shouldn't have to exist alongside criminals he deemed unworthy of living.
