The first spacecraft to discover water on the surface of the moon was India's Chandrion one mission, which had a bunch of instruments on board. And it was with one of those instruments that they were able to detect the presence of water on the moon. But the question was, is it water for sure? Is it for reals these people? So it had to be confirmed.
