What Are the Secret Archives?

Despite the covid pandemic, the archives are still open. Scholars can still go to them, though at the moment you have to follow special rules because of covid. The archives contain millions of papers and parchments that range over the last 12 hundred years from the twelfth to the twentieth centuries. A lot of it is stored in an underground vault known as the bunker which is neath the cortile de la pina or the court of the pine cone - part of the vatican museums.
