What Is the Difference Between Summative and Formative Simulation?

There is good evidence for this and I'm sure a lot more as you said out there. What about different types of simulation, right? We're really focused on the physiologic changes of the mannequin but there are also embedded actors in the operating room. Sometimes we have a partial task trainer that's just used for teaching how to intubate or play central lines. And then beyond just mannequin plastic trainers, sometimes there's a place for human hybrid trainers where you might have a conversation with a standardized patient but perform a procedure on the plastic mannequin.
