We're in a spiral of decline in our political culture. The emphasis on great speeches has gone, he says. We've come to accept things which even ten years ago we would not have accepted. And so it seems that the quality of the people holding the offices has also gone down. Do you feel politically homeless? To a degree, yes but I've always been an observer of politics.
