Sigmund Freud and the Dignity of Internal Mental Life

In the first generation of psychoanalysis, that is before or going into the First World War, you have psychoanalysts who train under Freud. They draw heavily on and maybe even kind of reciprocally influenced traditions that we would call anarchist. But also too, there are absolutely right-wing slash conservative slash you might even say authoritarian versions of psychoanalysis,. And I think Carl Jung represents a particularly obvious example of a thinker who's anti-enlightenment in some ways. You can read the Jungian corpus and there's stuff in there if it's explicitly uses psychoantic concepts to like the Aryan race or the unique capacities of Hitler as a leaderor like foaming-Semitism
